DEPS SAKAMATASHAD 5" LURE

DEPS SAKAMATA SHAD 5" SOFT BAIT

The Deps Sakamata Shad 5" is a premium soft bait stickbait designed to create a sharp, bouncing, darting baitfish action that triggers aggressive reaction bites from bass. Built with keels on both sides of the body, this bait naturally jumps, darts, and slides through the water with minimal effort, closely imitating a fleeing baitfish.

When fished weightless, the Sakamata Shad produces an erratic fleeing action near the surface, similar to baitfish escaping with sudden jumps and darts. It can also be worked through mid-water or along the bottom with split shot, Carolina rig, or other presentations to create a baitfish that appears suddenly, moves aggressively, and disappears again.

The smooth, flowing body design creates low water resistance, allowing for wide sliding movement and high-speed darting action. Its fins help produce the signature upward bouncing motion, while the bifurcated tail moves naturally like the tail fin of a baitfish.

Action & Presentation

The Sakamata Shad’s side keels and fins help create its signature jumping and darting action. A slightly curved hook setting can further enhance the keel effect, producing a more agile and irregular darting movement that can trigger reaction strikes from wary bass.

Application

Perfect for bass fishing, open water, pressured fish, clear-water conditions, reaction bite fishing, structure fishing, shallow cover, and finesse-style baitfish presentations. The 5" size offers a strong baitfish profile with enough weight and action for versatile rigging options.

Sharp, natural, and built to trigger reaction bites — the Deps Sakamata Shad 5" gives bass anglers a deadly darting soft bait with serious baitfish appeal.
