The Lew’s KVD Series LKVDGC5 Dock Skipping / Frog Casting Rod is a technique-specific rod designed to give anglers tournament-level performance, power, and precision. Developed with input from legendary professional angler Kevin VanDam, this rod is built for serious bass anglers who need the strength to pull fish from heavy cover and the accuracy to place lures in tight strike zones.

Built on a premium IM8 graphite blank, the LKVDGC5 offers an excellent balance of lightweight sensitivity and powerful backbone. Its 7'2" length, Medium Heavy power, and Extra Fast action make it ideal for dock skipping, frog fishing, accurate casting, quick hooksets, and controlling fish around structure.

The rod is fitted with stainless steel guides, aluminum oxide inserts, and a Zirconia insert tip top for smooth line flow, durability, and reliable casting performance. Lew’s proprietary Full Contact reel seat increases direct blank contact, improving sensitivity so anglers can feel more through the rod.

Finished with split grip EVA handles for comfort and control, plus a patented “No Foul” hook keeper, this rod is built for anglers who demand performance, reliability, and technique-specific design.
