The Okuma Sabiki UTG Wide Rod is purpose-built for anglers who regularly gather live bait using sabiki rigs. Designed to reduce tangles, simplify storage, and keep sabiki jigs ready for use, this rod allows the rig to be wound safely inside the rod when not in use, helping prevent snagging and frustration between bait-catching sessions.

Built from the ground up to solve common issues found in traditional sabiki rods, the Sabiki UTG features an improved line feeder and tip feeder design for smoother rig handling. Its slightly increased length allows more sabiki jig brands to be wound completely inside the rod, while the slimmer profile improves rod action and helps bring more life to the jig during use.

The Wide version is designed for use with either spinning or overhead reels, giving anglers more flexibility depending on their preferred setup. The two-piece design with a butt join makes storage and transport easier, while also helping reduce the line-feeding problems that can occur with traditional joins above the lower guide.
