Product Description

SCI FLIES WET FLIES CADDIS LARVAE

The SCI FLIES Wet Flies Caddis Larvae Fly Pack is a curated selection of 7 weighted subsurface patterns designed to imitate caddis larvae, pupae, and other small aquatic food sources. These flies are particularly effective for yellowfish and trout, making the pack a versatile choice for freshwater rivers, streams, and deeper feeding zones.

The selection combines natural-looking larvae with proven attractor patterns and bright hotspot variations. The weighted designs help the flies reach the feeding zone quickly, making them ideal for fishing runs, riffles, deeper pools, and fast-flowing water.

Pack Contents

1. Ice Caddis (GB) – Olive / Translucent

A natural-looking caddis larva imitation featuring an olive or translucent profile and a brass bead. Its realistic appearance makes it an excellent choice when fish are feeding on natural caddis larvae in the water column or close to the riverbed.

2. Gold Bead Caddis (GB)

A classic gold-beaded caddis nymph designed for bottom-oriented presentations. The bead provides additional weight while adding a subtle flash that can help attract trout and yellowfish in a variety of freshwater conditions.

3. Mustard Caddis (GB) – Mustard

A renowned yellowfish pattern featuring a distinctive mustard/yellow body and bead head. It is particularly well suited to South African river systems where yellowfish regularly feed on caddis larvae and other bottom-dwelling aquatic insects.

4. Green Rockworm (W) – Chartreuse

A highly visible chartreuse larva imitation designed to get down into deeper runs and riffles. The weighted construction makes it an excellent choice when fish are holding close to the bottom in stronger current.

5. Brassie (GB)

A traditional copper-wire segmented larva/midge imitation combined with a bead head for additional weight. Its slim profile makes it useful when fish are feeding on small aquatic larvae or when a compact subsurface presentation is required.

6. Orange River Caddis (GB) – Chartreuse / Orange

A locally oriented caddis pattern featuring a chartreuse-and-orange hotspot profile. The combination of natural larval colours and a brighter trigger makes it an effective searching pattern in South African river environments.

7. Dream Caddis (GB)

A versatile caddis larva/pupa searching pattern that can be fished as either a point fly or dropper. The bead helps the fly reach deeper feeding lanes, making it suitable for a range of river depths and current speeds.
