The synergy between the MGL SPOOL III and the upgraded braking system allows for an even smoother spool start-up and increased casting distance—particularly in the latter half of the cast. This advancement not only boosts long-range casting ability but also improves overall casting reliability and minimizes backlash.

Further enhancing its performance, the reel incorporates MicroModule Gearing for ultra-smooth rotation. A newly added support bearing on the drive gear shaft reduces handle play, delivering smooth, powerful retrieves under heavy loads.
