STROFT GTM 9FT TAPERED FLY FISHING LEADER

The STROFT GTM 9ft Tapered Fly Fishing Leader is a premium-performance leader designed to deliver exceptional tensile strength, superior knot reliability, and precise fly presentation. Manufactured using high-quality STROFT GTM material, this leader combines low visibility, excellent abrasion resistance, controlled elasticity, and supple handling for demanding freshwater fly fishing applications.

Featuring a specially engineered degressive taper, the STROFT GTM Leader provides efficient energy transfer from the fly line through to the tippet. This carefully balanced design promotes smooth leader turnover and accurate fly presentation, making it an excellent choice for anglers targeting trout, yellowfish, and other freshwater species.

The low-reflection material helps minimise underwater visibility, providing a more discreet presentation when fishing in clear water or targeting cautious fish.

STROFT GTM material is also recognised for its excellent combination of tensile strength and knot strength, allowing anglers to use fine leader diameters while maintaining dependable fish-fighting performance.

Its high abrasion resistance provides additional protection when fishing around submerged rocks and underwater structure, while the supple construction supports natural fly movement.

Another important feature is the leader's shock-absorbing butt section, which works together with the tapered profile to help cushion sudden movements and reduce abrupt tension changes when fighting fish.

Measuring 9ft (approximately 280cm), the STROFT GTM Tapered Leader offers a versatile balance between casting control, strength, and delicate presentation.

Available in 0X, 1X, 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X, and 6X, the range provides anglers with multiple strength and diameter options for different fishing conditions and fly sizes.

Technology & Design

Premium STROFT GTM Material

Manufactured using high-quality STROFT GTM material, the leader provides an excellent combination of tensile strength, knot reliability, flexibility, and abrasion resistance.

Degressive Taper Technology

The specially engineered degressive taper allows casting energy to transfer efficiently along the leader, promoting smooth turnover and controlled fly presentation.

Low-Reflection Construction

The low-reflection material helps reduce the leader's visibility in the water, making it particularly useful when targeting cautious fish in clear conditions.

Superior Knot & Tensile Strength

The combination of high tensile strength and reliable knot performance provides anglers with confidence when casting, setting hooks, and fighting fish.

High Abrasion Resistance

The durable material offers resistance to abrasion when fishing around rocks and other submerged obstacles, helping protect the leader during demanding fishing applications.

Shock-Absorbing Butt Section

The butt section provides cushioning during sudden movements, working together with the tapered design to help absorb tension and maintain control while playing fish.

Supple & Flexible Construction

The leader's softness and elasticity support natural fly movement and delicate presentation without sacrificing strength.
